Can I download the videos to watch offline?
With the release of our Android and iOS apps, we introduced the ability to save videos to your device for offline viewing. Currently, this is the only method to watch videos without an internet connection. You can download and store up to 350 videos, or 72 hours worth of content, at once on your mobile device. After you reach the video limit, you will need to delete a stored video before you can download again.
- Sign into our app using your standard Linux Academy username (your email address) and password
- Once you've signed in, navigate to the course you want to save
- Tap on the down arrow at the top right corner of the screen. You'll notice that new arrows will appear next to each lecture
- Now, tap on the link labeled "Click To Download Video"
If you're offline and you want to watch them, open our app again and then tap on the 'Saved' button at the bottom of the screen. Then, open the course name and then tap on the lecture you want to watch.
We also provide mp3 downloads of the course audio. Downloadable MP3s are based off the age of your subscription. In your first month of subscribing you will receive 30 available downloads. After your first month, for each day you are a member, the number of available downloads increase. The age of a canceled account that is reactivated is reset to the reactivation date.
