How to Add an Administrator

Once you have your Linux Academy for Business platform set up, you are able to add as many free administrators as you need, and as many students as you have licenses purchased.

An Administrator, no matter if licensed or not, have full access to the management features of your organization's Linux Academy Business account. Administrators control your organization’s training, team management, and billing options.

To add an administrator, either with the Administrator Only or Administrator + Student roles, complete the following:

Add an Administrator Role to a Member

  1. From the Linux Academy for Business platform's main dashboard, select the Administration dropdown, and then select Manage Administrators.
  2. On the Manage Administrators page, select the Add Administrators button.
  3. Here, under Administrator Type, choose if you want your new administrator to be an Administrator Only or an Administrator + Student. Remember that the Administrator + Student role takes up a license. 
  4. Once you've chosen the Administrator type, select Next.
  5. Search for the user you need to make into an administrator. You can add multiple administrators at once if desired. 
  6. Select Finish.

Invite a new member to be an Administrator

  1. From the Linux Academy for Business platform's main dashboard, select the Administration dropdown, and then select Manage Administrators.
  2. On the Manage Administrators page, select the Add Administrators button.
  3. Here, under Administrator Type, choose if you want your new administrator to be an Administrator Only or an Administrator + Student. Remember that the Administrator + Student role takes up a license. 
  4. Once you've chosen the administrator type, select Next.
  5. Here, enter in the name of the member you would like to add. A field will appear to enter their e-mail.
  6. Enter the member's email you wish to be an Administrator. You can send multiple at once if necessary. After typing in the email addresses, click on Send Invitation
  7. Select Finish.
  8. Once the member gets the email and accepts the invitation they will be an Administrator with full access to the Business Dashboard.
